About the "GDPR" Regulation?

The GDPR, or General Data Protection Regulation, is a European privacy law that came into effect in May 2018. It regulates how personal data of individuals within the EU can be collected, used, and processed. The law applies to European companies and any company that targets European individuals or collects, uses, or processes the personal data of European individuals, regardless of where the company is located. Essentially, this means that the GDPR will apply to most organizations that process the personal data of EU individuals, regardless of where they are based or where their data processing activities take place.

EU citizens enjoy certain rights under the GDPR. Our audience management tools allow you to easily respond to data requests from contacts, without a complicated process and without waiting for someone else to handle the request on your behalf.

How do we at Minimo enable our customers to comply with the GDPR?

Our system includes easy implementation, modules easily adaptable to GDPR compliance.

GDPR Compliant Forms

By default, the forms to be implemented are already GDPR compliant, requiring the acceptance of the Privacy Policy and consent before submission, which are mandatory.

However, it is also possible to design customizable forms, compatible with the GDPR, that are consistent with your project. GDPR fields are available for hosted, embedded, pop-up, banner, or landing page registration forms and can also be activated through our APIs.

Contact Profiles

Our contact forms show you when someone registers to receive your emails, offers, or requests in a way that allows you to demonstrate consent, generate your database, and modify or remove and manage personal data at any time.

When Can I Exercise My Privacy Rights?

Some data protection laws (including those in Europe) distinguish between those who act as "data controllers" and those who act as "data processors" of personal information. A controller is the organization that determines how and why your personal information should be used for specific purposes. A processor is an organization that acts as a service provider and processes personal information only on behalf of the controller at the instruction of the controller.

For many of our services, our members are the data controllers, and we simply act as their data processors. For instance, if you have signed up to receive a newsletter from one of our Members, that Member might ask us to assist them in sending their newsletters using our services. In such cases, the Member is the data controller of your personal information, and Minimo is merely a data processor.

Under the law, it is the responsibility of the data controller to ensure that you can exercise your rights over your personal information. If you have questions about how your personal information is managed by our Members (the company or organization that contacts you through the Service), you will need to review their privacy notices and, if necessary, contact them directly.

However, in situations where we are the data controller, and depending on the country you live in, you may have the rights identified above. Please review our Global Privacy Policy for more information on how we may process your personal information as a controller.
